This is some art this I drew up for a project in a class:
This is an animation that I created for the same class using Alice 3.1:
In my animation I used some principles of traditional animation to help my animation seem more realistic. These principles are:
-
Timing and Motion - I used this to show that the bowling ball had a larger mass than the bowling pins, so it could knock them back.

-
Staging - It is clear that this is a bowling lane with bowling pins and bowling balls.

-
Overlapping Action - I used overlapping when the pins were getting hit back by the ball as the ball still travelled down the lane. Also multple collisions of bowling pins were simultaneously occuring.

-
Pose-to-Pose Action - I used this when determining the route for the ball. I chose a starting point and an endpoint and the program created the frames in between.

-
Secondary Action - There are multiple cases of secondary action in this animation. All of the pins getting hit back are results of the bowling balls hitting a pin. Also, the score at the end showing the spare is also a secondary action.
